Degree Requirements

Degree Requirements for an undergraduate degree in Business Administration

Students must complete their degree requirements to receive a diploma from Tashkent State University of Economics.

1) Program Profile

Award: Bachelor's,   

Normal length: 4 academic years (8 semesters)

Credit load: 240 ECTS

Language of instruction: Uzbek, Russian, English

Home unit: Department of Business Administration

2) Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

On successful completion of the program a student should be able to:

A. Disciplinary Knowledge

  • Explain core theories of management, economics, and organizational behavior, and apply them to real-world business contexts.
  • Describe the operation of markets for goods, services, finance, labor, and technology within different forms of enterprises.
  • Understand the institutional and regulatory framework of business, including corporate governance, taxation, and compliance.

B. Analytical and Quantitative Competence

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret financial, marketing, and operational data for effective decision-making.
  • Build and evaluate models of enterprise performance, investment efficiency, and business strategy.
  • Apply econometrics, statistics, and information technologies for business forecasting and risk analysis.
  • Use digital tools and business analytics systems for monitoring and evaluating organizational outcomes.

C. Strategy, Policy and Management

  • Design and implement business strategies, organizational structures, and project management plans.
  • Develop policies and initiatives for entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable growth.
  • Lead teams and manage human resources effectively, applying modern leadership and motivational techniques.
  • Optimize supply chains, financial flows, and marketing strategies to enhance competitiveness.

D. Communication, Negotiation, and Professional Practice

  • Communicate effectively in professional, cross-cultural, and multilingual environments.
  • Conduct negotiations with stakeholders, prepare business contracts, reports, and project documentation.
  • Apply professional ethics, corporate responsibility, and codes of conduct in business practices.

E. Ethics, Risk and Crisis Management

  • Ensure ethical conduct, transparency, and compliance with corporate and legal standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to finance, operations, and external business environments.
  • Manage crises such as supply-chain disruptions, market shocks, or organizational challenges, and design response strategies.
  • Integrate sustainability principles and social responsibility into business decisions.

General Education (GE): 36 ECTS

Quantitative & Research Core: 30 ECTS

Economics Core: 44 ECTS

Business Administration Core: 40 ECTS

4) Graduation Requirements

Successful completion of 240 ECTS with all core requirements met.

Minimum CGPA: 2.6/4.0.

Internships completed and validated by the host & faculty supervisor.

Ethics & integrity clearance: no unresolved academic misconduct.

  • Describe the structure and functioning of procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution systems.
  • Understand the regulatory and institutional framework of logistics, including customs procedures, trade rules, and standards.

B. Analytical and Quantitative Competence

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics and transport data to improve decision-making.
  • Build and evaluate models of supply chain efficiency, transport flows, and infrastructure development.
  • Apply statistics, econometrics, and digital tools for forecasting, optimization, and risk analysis.
  • Use logistics information systems (LIS) and modern ICT to monitor and manage supply chains.

C. Strategy, Policy and Management

  • Design and implement logistics strategies at enterprise, regional, and international levels.
  • Develop policies and business models for sustainable and innovative logistics systems.
  • Lead teams and manage resources effectively in logistics operations and projects.
  • Optimize costs, quality, and speed of supply chain and transport processes.

D. Communication, Negotiation, and Professional Practice

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, partners, and clients in professional and multilingual contexts.
  • Conduct negotiations for transport contracts, logistics services, and supply chain partnerships.
  • Prepare professional reports, project documentation, and business proposals in logistics.

E. Ethics, Risk and Crisis Management

  • Ensure ethical conduct and compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards in logistics.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to transport, warehousing, and international supply chains.
  • Manage crises such as supply chain disruptions, infrastructure failures, or customs bottlenecks, and design response strategies.
  • Integrate sustainability and green logistics principles into operational and strategic decisions.
  • Integrate sustainability principles and social responsibility into business decisions.
